Backstory
The intergalactic world of Prester is made up of two kingdoms, Anatoray
and Disith. These kingdoms are separated by a turbulent and dangerous
stretch of space known as the "Grand Stream." Because of this, they
have little contact with one another. However, when Disith warriors
created a giant shield allowing themselves to traverse the Grand Stream
and attack Anatory, the two kingdoms were plunged into an eternal state
of warfare.
Under the guidance of the mysterious "Guild," the warring kingdoms have
always conducted themselves with honor and respect. When Disith decides
to break this code of honor, and the Guild does nothing to intervene,
the tide of war shifts against the Anatoray kingdom.
In the past, Claus Valca and Lavie Head took haven on the small
battleship, Silvana. The invincible cruiser scored multitudes of
victories under the leadership of Captain Alex Rowe. However, since
it's not under the ruling of the Anatoray army, it moves based on
Alex's own decisions. The army, in fact, sees it as an eyesore.
Alex Rowe of the Silvana was killed accidentally by Sophia Forrester,
his Vice Captain and Princess of Anatoray, in an attempt to destroy
Delphine, Queen of the Guild, who had held him hostage in order to open
EXILE, an extraordinary ship that can only be opened by 'The Gate to
EXILE.' Delphine could not control it without the riddles and answers,
called Mysteriums, which were known by only Dio Eraclea, Alvis
Hamilton, Sophia Forrester, and Alex Rowe. Alex managed to break
Delphine's neck, but not before Sophia had fired on the The Palace,
thinking her beloved Captain was dead..alas it was too late. Dio
Eraclea mysteriously reappeared after being swept into the Grand Stream
and returned to the Guild.
60 years later
Anatoray and Disith put aside their differences for a period of peace
on Prester. However, it was revealed that the Guild thrived in luxury
and abundance, while the two countries beneath the sky clung to almost
nothing. After EXILE's first voyage to the Blue Planet, the Guild clung
to a false mantle of power, when they had truly crumbled in their core.
The tale of EXILE was carried on by Sophia Forrester, the Empress of
Anatoray. Her record of the event, as well as the records of others
involved, were written down in a book simply called EXILE. The book was
published and renamed The Grand Departure. Most thought it fiction, but
a few clung to dreams of escaping Prester.
Anatoray and Disith joined together and searched for EXILE once they
found that the two books were one in the same. Upon uncovering all of
the Mysteria, EXILE was found and activated.
What lies beyond the furthest
reaches of the sky?
That which will
lead the lost child back to its mother's arms: Exile.
The waves that stain the land in
gold.
The breath of blessing
that nurtures life: A Land of Wheat.
The path upon which the angels walk.
You are the path of great winds:
The Grand Stream.
What lies beyond the furthest
reaches of memory?
The place where all
were born and to where all will return: A Blue World.
Over the course of seven years, the populations of Anatoray and Disith
were transported from Prester to the Blue World. The Guild fought back
and disrupted the movements, leaving a great number of the migration
dead in their last attempt to regain control. In the last transport,
battleships were taken aboard to keep the Blue World safe if the Guild
ever pursued. These were Silvana, Urbanus, and Leticala.
230 years later
The nations of Anatoray and Disith formed a civilization as advanced,
if not more so, than their countries on Prester. The Blue World was
good to its returned children and reaped bountiful harvest. The people
multiplied. Though they are no longer Anatoray and Disith, the people
of each country split over the Blue World, into over one hundred
smaller ‘countries’. Those of Disith’s blood favored the northern
regions, while others thrived in more temperate weather. The
battleships brought to the Blue World were grounded and converted into
military bases and societies of their own. If necessary, the ships can
rise back into the air at any moment.
The Guild, after their own efforts to make it to the Blue World, gave
up for a time. Eventually, someone outfitted Guild Starships to take on
their namesake. They could travel through space. A few Guilders
have reached the Blue World, while the rest are waiting to take their
chances with boarding EXILE.
